Strathcona County is seeking an intermediate GIS Analyst to join the team supporting our enterprise GIS environment. Responsibilities include supporting the ongoing development, administration, maintenance, improvement, and expansion of a municipal-wide Enterprise GIS to a growing number of internal and external GIS users of desktop and web-based GIS, asset management and mobile GIS technology. This is a challenging and rewarding position where learning and collaboration are encouraged.

This posting is for one full-time permanent position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of the County’s Enterprise GIS System
- Deliver on client operational GIS service requests and resolve system incidents in a timely manner
- Ensure County department users are well supported and productive in their use of County Geospatial technology
- Identify new services or service improvements (innovations) that better respond to the evolving needs of the business
- Support the mission of the GIS team by providing leadership and maintaining and sharing high level technical knowledge
- Provide on-call first level support to the Emergency Operations Center prior to, during and after an emergent event

**Qualifications**:

- A university degree in GIS or Geography or Computer Science; or a related two-year diploma in GIS with a minimum of five years of related GIS experience.
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Suite of tools including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
- Proficiency with ESRI Geodatabase data format, ArcGIS data models, FME Desktop and FME Server.
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server, MS Office Productivity tools, MS Project, MS Visio.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of GIS, spatial analysis, and cartography.
- Experience with Web mapping platforms (VertiGIS) is desired.
- Experience with Web API’s (ArcGIS API for JavaScript / ArcGIS API for Python) is desired.
- Experience with ArcGIS Arcade is desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
- Excellent logical and analytical thinking. Solid business acumen with the ability to understand problems and identify solutions.
- Business analysis and project management training or experience, GISP Certification or ESRI Certification are assets.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.

This position is hybrid working 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.

**Salary**: $75,639.20-$94,567.20 per year
