Maintenance Aide

- This position is 15 hours weekly

**Responsibilities of Maintenance Aide**:

- An appreciation of long term care environment would be an asset.
- A sound knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment used in LTC home and maintenance department.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry and other skills needed to service LTC home equipment.
- Proven temperament and ability to work in this type of environment as evidenced by positive supervisor’s comments and performance reviews in employee file.

**Requirements of Maintenance Aide**:

- Minimum High School or equivalent.
- Trade school specific to job requirement will be an asset.
- Able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the LTCHA, WSIA, OHSA and regulations and other pertinent legislation which fire, general safety and maintenance aspects of the operation.
- Additional Proven Courses and Skills will be considered in determining the best qualified individual.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
