**The Role**:

- The Adventure Group provides Whistler's best activities from our base camp on Cougar Mountain; a natural playground.

The Facilities and Equipment Manager is responsible for maintaining all infrastructure and equipment at the Cougar Mountain site to ensure the efficient operation of all TAG activities. This includes upkeep and cleanliness of the grounds and infrastructure ensuring compliance with government statutes, fleet management and supervising the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
- You will work closely with the General Manager, Safety Manager and Logistics Manager to ensure the upmost safety for all our guests and staff.

**Respo**nsibilities**:

- Maintain the Cougar Mountain site to ensure the effective operation of TAG activities.
- Oversees the workshop team to ensure all equipment and vehicles are readily available as per the organization’s seasonal requirements.
- Plan and execute preventative and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Ensures all activity infrastructure, site and equipment inspections are completed.
- Executes diligent project planning and cost control associated with all repairs and maintenance overheads related to TAG operations.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures relating to maintenance and asset management.
- Ensure adherence to all government statutes, laws, bylaws, and permit restrictions and represent the company proactively to official representatives.
- Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, retainer agreements and insurance providers.
- Support day-to-day operations of TAG.
- Oversee the mechanics team and delegation of their associated tasks.
- Other duties as reasonably directed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in equipment maintenance and managing infrastructure and assets.
- Previous experience in adventure tourism preferred.
- Analytical skills to assess risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
- Project management and problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues as they arise.
- Ability to lead a small high performing team.
- Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships within and outside of TAG.
- Be physically fit: able to lift up to 30lbs, be outdoors and on feet for the majority of day in variable weather conditions.
- 80 hour Outdoor First Aid certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License

**Salary and Perks**:

- $55,000-$65,000 per annum dependent on experience.
