Basic Qualifications

- Game engine proficiency in Unreal/Niagra
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingualism French and English is required for this position.

VFX Artist

As a VFX Artist, you create real-time special effects that amplify the fun and visuals of the game by enhancing the game mechanics. You collaborate with peers and make sure your work integrates well with the other game ingredients, providing the player with a unique gameplay experience.

Key job responsibilities

**Responsabilités**:

- Rechercher, prototyper et développer des VFX à l'aide de particules, de textures et de shaders
- Collaborer avec la direction technique artistique afin de déterminer les besoins en outils et technologies VFX
- Discuter des défis artistiques et techniques avec vos collègues afin d’assurer une clarté et un alignement interdisciplinaire
- Participer activement à la planification de la production en fournissant des estimations et en proposant des solutions pour respecter les délais
- Assurer que les VFX répondent aux exigences de performance et de mémoire
- Expérimenter avec les outils et techniques les plus récents pour rehausser la qualité des effets spéciaux
**Responsibilities**:

- Create real-time VFX that enhance game mechanics and player experience
- Research, prototype and develop VFX using particles, textures and shaders
- Collaborate with artistic technical direction to determine the requirements for VFX tools and technologies
- Discuss artistic and technical challenges with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary clarity and alignment
- Actively participate in production planning by providing estimates and proposing solutions to meet deadlines
- Ensure VFX meet performance and memory requirements
- Experiment with the latest tools and techniques to enhance the quality of VFX
