**Summary of Responsibilities**
We are currently looking for a energetic, hard-working Production Kiefel Technician Trainer to work a** permanent full-time position on a Day sh**ift with flexibility for other shift times **at our Alliston facility.
The Production Kiefel Technician Trainer will take on a more technical role to manage the increased complexity of the new equipment.
Employees will be assessed throughout the program and their job performance to ensure they are successfully learning the necessary skills and qualifications. In order to achieve this, we will be partnering with local educational institutions to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for operators to successfully troubleshoot, maintain and set up the equipment. The Kiefel Technician will take on a more technical role to manage the increased complexity of the new equipment.
Due to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areas
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Train new Kiefel technicians, refresh current Kiefel technicians, perform quarterly in class training sessions with all Kiefel technicians. Work with maintenance to obtain knowledge to share with Kiefel technicians.
- Update SOPs, SOJT’s to improve job efficiencies.
- Continuous improvements in the Plastics area. Complete 2 VIP’s per year
**Job Requirements**
- Required:
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED
- College diploma
- English
- Math
- Fast-paced environment, high pressure
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Demonstrated good attendance in present position.
- Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position.
- Strong ‘can do’ attitude, presenting a positive and optimistic approach to problem solving
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
- Experience in successfully trouble shooting mechanical problems.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Experience in working effectively both independently, and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated on the job
- Demonstrated ability to document data correctly per CA GPP 80.
- Must have the ability to comprehend Baxter Specifications / SOP’s and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Equipment used: Kiefel machines, SAPA, 4-wheel trolleys, manual jacks, electric hoist, 4 wheel pushcart, Q.A. tools and gauges and computer.
- Preferred:
- Post-secondary Degree in Engineering or Science
- Technical
- Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
- Excellent technical, problem solving, and mathematical skills
- 5+ years of experience
- Previous experience working with complex manufacturing equipment, demonstrating mechanical and/or electrical experience
