Position summary

General Duties
- Project lead - oversee research activities,
- Supervise team of graduate trainees,
- Manage all aspects of the research project (including purchasing, budget, animal protocol, experimental design and procedures, data analysis, publications, reports, presentations, etc.).

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Oversee and participate in the execution of the assigned laboratory project and experiments,
- Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks and optimize methodology,
- Perform a variety of molecular and cellular assays, analyses and tests such as tissue culture, cell signaling, molecular biology, and irradiation,
- Supervise and participate in small animal handling and in vivo experiments (xenografts, PDXs, injections, necropsy),
- Troubleshoot, correct and adapt published methodologies,
- Record results, perform calculations and compile data,
- Analyze and interpret data, perform statistical tests,
- Participate to laboratory clerical and administrative tasks.

**Education**: Doctorate Degree

**Field of Study**: Science

**Work Experience**:

- 2 years’ experience as Research Associate,
- Previous experience with preclinical mouse models,
- Knowledge of cancer biology,
- Knowledge of DNA damage pathways.

**Other requirements**:

- Excellent English, spoken and written,
- Excellent French, spoken and written (desirable),
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
- Good analytical and logic skills,
- Problem assessment and problem-solving abilities.

Additional information

**Status**: Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek)

**Pay Scale**: Commensurate with education and experience

**Work Shift**: Mondays to Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility required for animal experiments and specific bench experiments. Also, some flexibility can be required for communicating with research partners in different time zones.
