Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

This General Orthopedics position is part of a team of (4) four general orthopedic surgeons who share balanced call, equitable operating time, and a team approach to covering hospital obligations. Call responsibilities are expected to be one (1) in four (4). Other responsibilities include participation in the Provincial Manitoba Orthopedic Surgery Program, General orthopedic trauma, and a substantial part of the practice will be providing general arthroplasty and non arthroplasty surgeries for patients referred locally and from across the province. This position encompasses inpatient and ambulatory patient care responsibility and requires that individuals with clinical and teaching skills participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and promotion of rural surgical and orthopedic medicine.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Must have certification in Orthopedic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- Must have Fellowship training in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty
- Fellowship or additional training in any of the following: Trauma, Hand. Foot/Ankle orthopedics
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums.
- Good work and attendance record.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate
