Telecom Lineman

At Pentagon Group, we deliver a dynamic and safety focused work environment. We are currently seeking skilled and knowledgeable Powerline Technicians to join our team.

**Job Information**

Working under the supervision of the Working Foreman, the Aerial Lineman will assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses to support the Pentagon Group civil team.

**Responsibilities**
- Climb poles, ladders and a variety of construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses string cables between structures, manholes, from poles, towers or trenches and ensure that all are to proper tension
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment accurately record and report project progress to the appropriate supervisory person and communicate any issues or expected delays.
- Work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet.
- Experience in reading and interpreting work plans or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely and in accordance to Pentagon Group's Health and Safety policy.
- Work outdoors in various conditions to place coax or fiber optic telecommunication cables.
- Any and all other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.
- Cable Pulling experience an asset
- Prior pole climbing experience an asset
- Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check and a clean driver’s abstract

**Qualifications**

Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role within the utility industry (preferred)

Safety certificates (First Aid, WAH, Confined Space)

Must have own transportation to travel to the warehouse/office where company vehicles are provided.

Excellent leadership, customer service and communication skills

Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract - AR class driver’s license preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
