Nucor Systems is seeking a highly motivated **Purchaser with a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience **to join our dynamic team.

Nucor Systems is a Calgary owned and operated company with over 30 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems. We specialize in providing innovative irrigation solutions to commercial properties, parks, and public spaces. As we continue to grow and expand our business, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Irrigation Purchaser to join our team.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Purchaser, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the procurement of high-quality irrigation equipment and materials to meet the diverse needs of our clients. You will work closely with our project managers to identify the most suitable irrigation systems and components that align with the specific requirements of each project. Key responsibilities include:

- Product Sourcing: Researching and identifying reliable suppliers and manufacturers of commercial irrigation systems parts and components. Establishing strong relationships with vendors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Budget Management: Collaborating with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for irrigation equipment procurement, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
- Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that all purchased irrigation products meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Project Coordination: Coordinating with project managers to ensure timely delivery of irrigation materials, adhering to project timelines and specifications.
- Vendor Relations: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, nurturing long-term partnerships based on trust and reliability.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Direct experience in procurement and purchasing within the irrigation, construction, plumbing, electrical or landscape industry.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial irrigation systems and products is an asset.
- Strong analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
- Excellent administrative skills including basic accounting, ability to organizing and prioritizing effectively.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
