SNC-Lavalin Power and Renewables has an exciting full time career opportunity for a Project Manager. Based out of our Burnaby offices, our Project EWPM’s are responsible for the timely and efficient coordination and delivery of transmission and substation projects for major utility clients.

This position is based out of our office in Burnaby, Vancouver and reports to the Director of Project Delivery for the ESA. You will be responsible for working alongside other discipline managers, technical leads and project managers and be responsible for project management of various projects within the team.

**How will you contribute to the team?**
- The successful delivery of the project to agreed targets, e.g., schedule, budget, and quality.
- Identifying, escalating, and managing any matters that could pose a potential contractual / commercial risk.
- Setting objectives, and defining tasks for the project team, delegating authority and agreeing with the project director how risks will be shared as necessary.
- Actively managing the project - both technically and financially, in accordance with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance and procedures.
- Facilitating communication, co-ordination, and information flow with the Client and within the project team, including any subcontractors and partners (internal and external).
- Protecting the commercial interest of the project.
- Facilitation of all technical documentation required for the execution of the project (Technical studies, Design basis, Conceptual designs, Detailed designs, technical specifications, Field work, Tender Phase services, Construction Phase Services and Record drawings).

**What will you contribute?**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering**.**:

- Professional Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in project management with a degree in either Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering.
- Project Management Accreditation (PMP) is an asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices and the flow of design in project management.
- Knowledge of all project management functions, including design, contracts, procurement of services, and project accounting.
- A distinct results orientation combined with outstanding communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
- Proven ability to manage conflict resolution and multiple complex projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient with standard computer tools.
- Working with a large design team is an asset.
- Understanding of change management process.
- Must work to tight schedules respecting client’s timelines.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Work within financial constraints and understanding of project financial workings.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- Experience in Transmission and Distribution is considered a distinct asset.
- Experience working with a major utility is considered a distinct asset.
- Experience working in an EPCM or EPC environment is considered an asset.
