- Job Duties**Job Duties**- 1. Develop and deliver resources for curricular and pedagogical innovation to individual faculty and departments wanting to incorporate adult learning principles into their curriculum, instruction and assessment practices.
2. Plan, develop, coordinate and deliver New Instructor Orientation course (NIO), Adult Teaching and Learning program (ATL), and other continuing professional development activities for faculty.
3. Advance instructional and academic leadership development among faculty by utilizing and modeling active learning techniques and through the development of a mentoring network.
4. Lead the development of a Saskatchewan Polytechnic learning community where faculty expertise is fully utilized in the areas of curriculum development, instructional design and methodology, educational technology, evaluation and assessment techniques and classroom management strategies.
5. Promote the community of practice and life-long learning through professional development sessions and individualized sessions, conferences and, in general, fostering a climate of best practices in adult education (includes active learning).
- QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE**Specific Accountabilities**

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)**
- 1. Master degree in Adult Education, or a Master’s degree in progress (to be completed within a year), or equivalent combination of education and experience in teaching and working with adult learners, with an ability to instruct Bachelor level courses in Adult Education.
2. Five years of relevant experience at a post-secondary level** **or institution, including teaching and developing and writing curriculum, employing and modeling active learning techniques in teaching and learning.
- 3. Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of facilitation techniques, evaluation, educational technology, adult development and learning and active methods in teaching.
4. Ability to communicate effectively in a classroom or presentation setting, facilitating discussion and using available technology effectively.
5. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
6. Ability to take initiative without specific direction and complete tasks by removing barriers and locating necessary resources.
8. Demonstrates Valuing Diversity.
