**Job description**

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing our residence with an excellent experience every time they step foot on The Elden Bus. The Elden Bus is a 14 seat bus, that is wheelchair accessible. We need someone who is fun, energetic, and who genuinely cares about their position.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To be creative when driving and always looking at methods to improve the residents experience;
- To be enthusiastic about delivering an excellent bus experience to the residents;
- To establish and maintain harmonious relationships with residents, their families and employees;
- To assist residents with ambulatory assistive devices (walkers/wheelchairs, etc.) while entering and exiting the facility vehicle;
- To take part in some of the outings with the residents
- To transport residents in the facility vehicle to various scheduled locations, outings and events, as scheduled by the Activities Director;
- To be aware of the Resident Rights & Responsibilities and endeavor to respect and promote it;
- To work harmoniously with the Activities Director and corresponding staff in planning and implementing the bus trips and excursions;
- To assist the Activities Director with other duties as assigned;
**Qualifications**
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal English skills
- Must possess a valid and applicable class of driver’s license, with a clean driving record; ON - Class F; MB AB BC - Class 4
- Will have proof of current, valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Enjoys working closely with team members and has a strong desire to provide our residents with a better quality of life
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience
- Previous experience working with seniors is considered an asset
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Reporting Relationship: Activities Director

**Job Type**: Casual (approx 12 hours bi-weekly)
