Carpenter Helper

**Responsibilities**:
**Assist Carpenters**: Work alongside experienced carpenters to assist in the construction of structures and frameworks.

**Material Handling**: Responsible for carrying and moving materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.

**Tool Maintenance**: Keep tools and equipment in good condition and assist with their setup and breakdown.

**Measuring and Cutting**: Assist in measuring and cutting materials according to specifications provided by the carpenter.

**Assembly**: Help in assembling and installing structures such as windows, doors, and cabinets.

**Cleanup**: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning up debris and disposing of waste materials.

**Safety**: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

**Learning Opportunities**: Take advantage of learning opportunities to enhance carpentry skills and advance within the company.

**Requirements**:
**Previous Experience**: Prior experience in a construction or carpentry-related role is a plus.

**Physical Fitness**: Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.

**Team Player**: Strong teamwork and communication skills.

**Attention to Detail**: Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.

**Reliability**: Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.

**Willingness to Learn**: Eagerness to learn and grow in the carpentry field.

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Courtenay, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)
