We are currently in search of AV Installation Technicians who can assume responsibility for the installation and commissioning (including troubleshooting and servicing) of residential and commercial AV systems.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- A commitment to safety.
- System installations which include:

- low voltage wiring
- Wall plate configuration and trims
- Component & rack setup (including cabling)
- Mounting video displays, cameras, projectors & screens
- Digital signage
- Media room configurations, audio systems and control systems
- Configuration of managed networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.)
- Cable pulls, crimps, splices and terminations of audio, video, and control cables.
- Identification and labelling of cables, jacks, wall plates, patch panels, etc. as required.
- Assistance with structural installation of displays, screens and projectors, etc.
- Troubleshoot any/all AV issues.
- Final systems testing.
- Load in/out; General housekeeping
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings & schematics (e.g. blueprints).
- Possess an understanding of AV systems signal flows.
- Ability to lift large, heavy objects such as commercial displays with care.
- Ability to work from ladders and/or scaffolding.
- Knowledgeable with computers and communication programs.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism under pressure.
- Experience in a related field (2 years)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Excellent manual dexterity for working with small components.
- Familiarity and confidence with a wide assortment of power and hand tools.
- Industry-affiliated certifications and/or training considered an asset (Extron, Crestron, QSC, Shure, Poly, etc.).
- Safety certifications are considered an asset.

**_NOTE: This position requires frequent lifting in excess of 50lbs._**

**Special Requirements**
- Ability to work long hours to meet deadlines.
- Occasional out-of-town / overnight travel may be required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
