THE ROLE

The Innovation & Technology (I+T) Support Specialist at ETRO is your chance to be at the forefront of driving cutting-edge tech solutions across our organization Working alongside the Director of Innovation & Technology, you’ll play a crucial role in resolving technical challenges, managing IT infrastructure, and helping implement exciting new technologies that shape the future of our operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Here’s what you’ll get up to as the **Innovation + Technology Support Specialist**:

- Manage and support Google Suite accounts (onboarding/offboarding) and all user device setups, while also setting up and maintaining project sites, including all IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and devices.
- Maintain and update Knowledge Base documentation for end-user guidance, along with technical documentation for the IT environment.
- Deal with and manage contracted support providers to troubleshoot and resolve IT or technology issues.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus software, and monitoring systems, to protect IT infrastructure and sensitive data.
- Assist with IT project management, contributing to the planning, setup, and execution of IT-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Provide technical support using remote access tools such as VPNs and remote desktop software for efficient troubleshooting of off-site users.
- Ensure IT services meet defined Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) by tracking performance and maintaining high service standards.
- Work closely with the I+T Director to ensure the policies, procedures, instructions, and guidelines of the I+T department are adhered to and implemented effectively.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

On top of your passion to work in a growing business full of professionals in the trade, here’s what we’re looking for:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineer or equivalent industry experience and certifications
- 4 years of related IT Administrative work experience
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Google Suite Administration & Apps, and Cloud Computing (certification an asset)
- Experience with cloud computing, virtual hosts, web hosting and DNS management.
- Strong experience and knowledge of MS Windows 10/11 administration and support.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem solver with analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Certifications in ITIL Foundation and Procore Administration are considered an asset.
- Passionate about training and dealing with the end users, as well as, management of the day-to-day IT operations.
- Excellent communication and client service skills, including the ability to defuse situations, and the patience to collaborate with end users (who may not understand the technology) in order to solve technical problems
- Comfortable working in fast growth environments.
- Excellent communication & documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, and multitask.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
