Bricklayer

Job Overview:
We are a family run restoration masonry company seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, buildings, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.

**Duties**:

- Lay bricks and other masonry units in accordance with blueprints and specifications
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the construction area
- Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and hammers to shape and align bricks
- Cut bricks to size using power tools or hand tools
- Repair or restore existing masonry structures
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or scaffolding as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for masonry work
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and ability to interpret schematics (preferred)
- Strong understanding of masonry techniques and materials
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 2-3 months

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week

Licence/Certification:

- Ontario Driver's Licence (required)
- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
- WHMIS Certification (preferred)
