**Description**:
Reporting to the Finance Director and as an integral member of the Financial Planning team, the Manager, Financial Planning is responsible for providing analytical and advisory financial support to assist in operational decision making in meeting Capital Care strategic plan.

Duties include: performing analysis on financial and statistical data, providing advice, support and information for decision making; planning, delivering, and evaluating financial and budgeting information for operational areas; developing, maintaining, and monitoring departmental budgets; building relationships with operational Site Directors and Managers; leading, training, and mentoring staff, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information; performing ad-hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making; and
Participate in designing, implementation and maintaining of internal controls.

**Qualifications**

Salary as per CapitalCare's Non-Union Exempt Employee Management Pay Grid.

Required Qualifications:
University degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related discipline is - required. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA,
CGA, CMA) is required.
Minimum 10 years' experience in accounting and 5 years progressive experience with budgeting and financial analysis in a not-for-profit environment.
Accepted Accounting Principles.
High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of financial methodologies and practices.
Advanced skills in the utilization of spreadsheets, databases, and accounting/financial systems.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Proven management and team building skills and the ability to effectively direct and manage resources.
Ability to work with the detail but also understand the bigger picture.
Ability to adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments.
Experience in healthcare or Not for Profit sector preferred.
