Are you looking for a job where every day is a bit different? Up for a challenge while helping provide quality before and after school care to over 100 local kids? We are looking for an organized, motivated, fun-loving individual who loves working with kids and wants to join our growing team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC. You will provide programming at one of our five school-aged child care centres when in the role. As you spend time with the kids, you will have lots of opportunities to get your hands messy and hang on the monkey bars

**Must be available between 1:30 - 6:00 Monday to Friday.**

Primary Responsibilities:

- Implementing programming on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Implement planned activities that meet the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of the children in the program.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Keep parents informed of program expectations, program activities, and their child’s progress.
- complete a yearly performance appraisal including goals and objectives for the coming year
- remain aware of federal and provincial privacy legislation and the agency’s privacy policies and practices
- Assist wish the agency fundraising and events as possible.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be at least 19 years of age or older (as per Child Care Licensing regulations).
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
- 20 hours of education in; child development, child guidance, health and safety and/or nutrition.
- Previous experience with children.
- Valid first aid and CPR certification.
- Unrestricted Class 4 License or willingness to obtain will be considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
