We serve the communities of Wahnapitae, Dokis, Henvey Inlet, Magnetawan, Shawanaga, and Wasauksing First Nations._**
Reporting to the Manager of Resources, the Services Supervisor of Customary Care / Kinship Care is responsible for directly supervising Front Line Child Welfare Workers and Service Support Staff. This position is responsible for providing direction, coaching and clinical supervision to staff on all matters relating to child welfare protection service delivery while ensuring that their efforts are in alignment with the Agency’s strategic planning, policies and procedures as well as the legal framework of the Child and Youth Family Services Act and First Nation standards of practice.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- College Diploma in Social Services may be considered and/or Honor's Bachelor of Social Work (HBSW) degree, Master of Social Work degree is preferred
- Five (5) years’ direct experience working with children and families involved in child welfare protection
- Three (3) years’ direct management and administration experience in a child welfare protection or social service agency
- Persons with relevant education and direct experience working in Child Welfare for a minimum of ten (10) years may also be considered
- Knowledge of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services programs and services
- Respect for, sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishinabek culture, traditions and the Seven Grandfather Teachings
- Knowledge of relevant legislative framework and polices reflecting current child welfare practice
- Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs and traditions in responding to child welfare
- Knowledge of all relevant legislation including the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation, design and operation of various service delivery models
- Must provide a clear Police Records Check - Vulnerable Sector
- Must provide a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, have access to a vehicle with ability to travel
- Must have $1M auto insurance liability coverage
- Must provide a three-year uncertified Driver’s Abstract
