La Ferme Black River is a wholesale distributor of premium meats and cheeses servicing the Ontario foodservice and retail industry. We are a small, family-owned business and we are extremely passionate about sourcing and supplying local, high-quality products to our customer base. We are currently looking for an Inventory Associate to join our team. We are looking for someone who loves food - eating it, touching it and helping others to enjoy it too We carry an inventory of over 1,500 items so there will be lots to learn and attention to detail is very important. We are looking for a person that enjoys working independently and takes initiative. The majority of your day will be working in a refrigerated warehouse so if you are adverse to the cold, this may not be the right position for you.

The position will include a variety of duties including:

- Assist with data entry related to purchasing and sales
- Manage and handle receiving, loading and unloading of products
- Pack orders, stock and organize inventory in the warehouse
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and ensuring that inventory is managed on a FIFO basis
- Oversee and effectively manage warehouse operations and inventory control functions to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards and SCFR regulations
- Responsible for physical condition of warehouse including garbage disposal, cleaning and meeting SCFR regulations food safety.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed

This position is a permanent full-time position and you can expect to work approximate 35 to 40 hours per week. Starting hours each day are between 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is extremely punctual and has a solid work ethic.

**This is a physically demanding job and you must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 kg.**
