**General Purpose**

The Product Technician I is responsible for performing all lab quality control tests.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Perform moisture, ash, protein, farinograph, baking, pH, viscosity, brix, sodium, taste-testing, slick test, and sieve analysis. **Full training provided.**
- Generate CoA’s (Certificate of Analysis) as required.
- Makes ship/hold/ decisions based on QC testing results.
- Daily computer entry of all results.
- Performs finished product re-testing and customer complaint investigations.
- Assists with the review, drafting and updating of QC Procedural Manuals.
- Performs equipment calibrations, ingredient inspections & prepares samples for external testing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly Lab & adherence to the Master sanitation schedule.
- Is aware of critical control points as they relate to product liability.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) while performing job duties and tasks.
- Performs all other related duties, including training and product development as required.
- Responsible for compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safety standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12 or equivalent including completion of Grade 12 Math & Grade 12 Chemistry.
- Completion of Assigned AIB Courses within a 12 month period will be required.
- Self-motivated team player with strong work ethic.
- Above average interpersonal & communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills with an ability to work in stressful situations.
- Willing and available for shift work. _(holidays, weekends and call outs if needed)_

Pay: $23.53-$27.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
