Self-managed private residence in the Charleswood area is seeking to hire an overnight health care aide to join our team. If you're an empathetic person who is looking to provide support for someone in need, we would love to hear from you

The client is an individual in their mid 30s living with a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. While their mental faculties are completely unimpaired, their strength is severely impacted by their condition and they are effectively classified as a quadriplegic. As such, they require a lot of support day to day for things including eating, getting dressed, hygiene, toileting and other daily living activities. The household also is home to two indoor cats, so animal lovers are welcome

Applicants must have/provide:
An audio (spoken) phone screening questionnaire under the 'Skill test' section.

Certified Health Care Aide training & experience

A Criminal Record Check (less than 6 months)

An Adult/Child Registry Check (less than 6 months)

A Valid Driver’s license and Vehicle

First Aid/CPR Level C (current)

Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination

Shift availability: Monday-Sunday

Hours: 12pm-10pm (somewhat flexible)

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
