**About the Position**:
As a Piping Supervisor, you will be responsible for to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operation of the pipe manufacturing department at Cambridge Pro Fab. The incumbent will be responsible for development of the appropriate fabrication team (training/hiring), lead and coach the team to adequate completion of fabrication activities, assist in ensuring adequate development of CPF quality standards, and work as a project manager for piping jobs as required
**Hours of Work**
Afternoon Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) 40 Hours per week
**What you will be doing**:
- Assist in setting up Cambridge Pro Fab Piping Department - equipment, procedures, team development etc.
- Involved in the hiring and growth of the Pipe fabrication team.
- Training of current and new Cambridge Pro Fab employees on pipe fabrication, fostering a spirit of cooperation and growth.
- Assist Plant Manager with operations of the Plant including organization, assignment of work and meeting production delivery dates.
- Be proactive and accountable for deadlines and job requirements.
- Represent the company at all levels of business and adhere to the principles set out in the company mission statement.
- Understand and enforce Cambridge Pro Fab’s Corporate Manual.
- Shall ensure all projects are executed professionally in all aspects.
- Provide a work atmosphere that will allow all our employees to enjoy and to provide job enrichment.
- Keep Plant Manager informed on production schedules.
- Maintain the required level of quality.
- Work and assist other employees in continuously improving safety and product quality.
- Continuously look for ways to improve production process techniques and equipment required to reduce production costs and ensure any changes or additions to equipment is documented, tested, and proven prior to release.
- Occasional use of overhead cranes, forklift, ladders, and other equipment as per company procedures (the use of equipment is prohibited unless proper (approved) training is received, and the training is evaluated and documented).
- Taking on and managing multiple projects.
- Meeting customer expectations, specifications, and costs.
- Dealing with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Leading / supervising / training a group of individuals. Assigning and tracking work and hours.
- Assess the work and performance of team members.
- Coaching / mentoring of Junior, intermediate and senior individuals.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules.
- Managing documentation: Material Requisitions. BOM’s. Transmittal of documents: customer and shop. Master ship lists. Paint specifications. Cost extras. Etc.
- Issue drawings to the shop for fabrication in accordance with production schedule.
- Checking drawings and documents.
- Follow, train, and enforce standard policies & procedures and assist in modifying and developing existing and new standards.
- Travelling as required.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Strong background in pipe welding processes and inspection
- Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office
- Supervisory experience
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and organization skills
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- Extended hours may be required from time to time
- Travel to other locations, suppliers, or contractors
