Inglenook Creche Childcare Centre is a not-for-profit childcare centre currently serving families with children aged 12 months to 12 years across two locations within Owen Sound.

In 1991 Inglenook Creche was a childcare centre operated by Community Living Owen Sound and District. At that time it's Board of Directors chose to close the centre in June of 1991. A group of concerned parents formed an organization to ensure that the quality care and philosophy of Inglenook Creche would be maintained. From this desire, grew Inglenook Creche Childcare Centre Inc., a unique parent/volunteer not-for-profit organization operating since July, 1991. The centre is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of ten members made up of parents and community members.

**Job description**

The Supervisor reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, including oversight of staff and management of the childcare centre following the Ministry of Education's Child Care and Early Years Act.

The position requires at minimum a monthly staff meeting and monthly board meeting to be conducted after hours.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators or equivalent and in good standing
- Minimum 5 years experience working in a licensed childcare centre
- 2 years experience working in a Supervisor role within a licensed childcare centre is an asset
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Ability to plan and deliver inclusive play based learning and care programs for children of all ages
- Must be a team player and be able to effectively collaborate with staff, families and Board of Directors
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Web based software and working in conjunction with a bookkeeper
- Excellent command of the English language both oral and written
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and be flexible
- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
- Knowledge of Not-For-Profit Organizations is an asset
- Previous experience working with a Board of Directors is an asset
- Previous experience developing policies and procedures is an asset
- Knowledge of CCLS and CWELLC guidelines
- Knowledge of relevant legislation is an asset - including but not limited to the Ministry of Labor, Occupational Health and Safety Act and AODA

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year
