Onsite Machinist

**Onsite Machinist**

The position we are looking to fill is that of an Onsite Machinist. If hired you would be responsible for setting up and operating portable equipment to complete numerous onsite machining tasks, including flange facing, cold pipe cutting and prepping, portable milling, line boring, journal turning, etc. You would travel to different plant and industrial sites for shutdown or emergency repair work. Currently, we are looking at hiring the following individuals to fill this role:

- **Journeyman Machinist** - A journeyman machinist who has extensive experience in manual shop machining or onsite machining.
- **Machinist Apprentice** - An apprentice in his first couple of years that has experience in manual shop machining or onsite machining.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate portable and onsite machining equipment at plant and industrial sites
- Modify parts and find solutions to complex onsite machining projects
- Perform routine maintenance on our portable equipment
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments

**Qualifications**:

- Must have previous experience in onsite machining, manual machining, or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically

Training in supplemental safety courses like CSTS2020, CSO, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, WHMIS, etc. are an added benefit.

**Salary**: $26.00-$40.00 per hour

- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- machinist: 1 year (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
