**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:
This position is responsible to lead the company’s initiatives to move towards lean production environment. Acts as a central resource for lean manufacturing and assists with day-to-day production support and improvements.

**SUMMARY**:
Responsible to manage all activities for a lean production philosophy, productivity, safety, environment, and implementation. A technical background combined with product/management skills is needed. This position will interact with all areas of the business. This includes but not limited to engineering, warehousing, production, quality control, documentation, and sourcing.

**JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain a positive environment focusing on Lean Manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Be proactive and energetic with abilities to motivate and persuade change.
- Recommends and/or implements methods for improving worker and process efficiency by reducing waste/non-value-added activities through the use of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools and techniques
- Assist in developing Metrics - baseline our current state and to measure future improvement projects
- Studies sequence of operations to be performed and the flow of materials, manpower and documentation by using Flow and Standardized Work tools
- Organizing and facilitating Kaizen projects throughout the shop floor and applicable departments.
- Works with Management in analyzing work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment
- Develops and maintains shop floor process documentation and visual controls
- Assist shop floor Supervision in developing shop floor champions and CI teams
- Facilitates a P-D-C-A (Plan-Do-Check-Act) environment with all projects and implementations
- Acts as catalyst to develop organizational Continuous Improvement mindset and behavior.
- Follow all Health & Safety programs; actively participate in Health & Safety training with the purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding
- Other related duties as assigned

**PREFERRED SKILLS**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing and/or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Certification in lean or six sigma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Excellent ability to handle and analyze data to extract meaningful recommendations, proficient level with tools such as excel and MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects from start to completion.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written to foster team engagement in identifying and implementing the opportunities of improvement.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and conflicting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Experience**:
