Magest Building Systems is hiring We are currently seeking a _Welding Supervisor_ for our structural steel wall panel and truss assembly plant. Magest is locally owned and operated with strong ties to Stratford and surrounding communities. We are gearing up to grow the business and we want you to be part of that growth and success

**Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for overseeing a small team of employees on the shop floor
- Train, motivates & supervises team members
- Ensures that all work is being performed in accordance with applicable safety standards and regulations
- Provide guidance and instruction to workers regarding safety procedures and equipment operation
- Monitors work progress and quality to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Participates in all fabrication, welding & general labour duties alongside team members
- Able to weld with mig and stick to required specifications (GMAW, SMAW)
- Assemble, fabricate, and build metal structures using various welding techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements
- Perform other duties as defined and assigned by supervisor

**Experience**:

- +5 years in a lead hand or supervisory position
- +5 years welding / fitting experience
- CWB Certified
- You are proficient at one or more of the following processes: stainless steel/carbon, Mig, Tig,Stick, Flux Core and Sub Arc welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal
- Tow motor and overhead crane experience
