A transportation company providing pupil transportation and charter services to School Boards, Independent Schools, Colleges, Universities plus other educational institutions and organizations requiring pupil and person transportation. We are Canada's largest family owned and operated bus company with over 1300 buses on the road each school day._

We require a Full-Time School Bus Dispatcher based out of our Waterdown office. This position offers a positive work environment in a fast paced environment, competitive salary, group benefits along with enhanced skill development.

**Job Description**:

- Maintains an up-to-date listing of school buses and assigned drivers
- Assures ready access to an up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route
- Maintains an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers
- Maintains cordial working relationships with assigned drivers
- Operate two-way radio base station
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of roads and streets in Toronto and the surrounding area
- Communicate with parents, supervisors, school administrators and department employees ; receive requests, questions, concerns and suggestions and provide information and assistance to appropriate personnel
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency
- Post secondary education preferred
- 3 years experience preferred
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Previous dispatch experience considered an asset
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast, flexible, multi task environment with mínimal supervision
- Exceptional problem solving skills
- Telephone and two-way radio techniques and etiquette
- Speak clearly and distinctly
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
- Creative, quick learner who will bring innovative thinking
- Well-spoken and comfortable working with all levels of the organization
- Energized, positive attitude and a team player
- Work cooperatively with others
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
- Excellent knowledge of all MS Office programs
- Previous experience in the school bus industry is considered an asset
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with school bus endorsement; must have or be willing to obtain within six months, or equivalent work experience

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
