Automotive Refinisher

A & B Autobody is looking for an AUTOMOTIVE REFINISHER / PREPPER to join our winning team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leader in collision repair and take your career to the next level. This role requires the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards, work within the guidelines of operations of the body and paint department and ensure production efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting relationships
- reports to manager/production supervisor
- Prepping, masking, cleaning, color matching and spraying
- Final preparation and masking for refinishing
- Anti-corrosion treatments
- Duplicating OEM refinishes from all manufacturers
- Maintaining all safety and cleaning standards of both personal/paint booth and shop space
- Complete all training requirements to receive all necessary certifications, I-CAR SGI accreditations
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of body shop experience
- Thorough knowledge of the collision repair process including standards
- Complete understanding of automotive paint preparation techniques
- Solid problem solving abilities
- Ability to work with team to achieve common goals
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management
- Organization skills
- Up to date on current paint technology
- High standards of finished quality
- Must provide top quality work, attention to detail and be able to produce paint work of consistent results
- Ability to both disassemble and reassemble vehicles or parts of vehicles
- I-CAR Platinum refinisher certificate is an asset
- WHMIS
