We are looking for someone to work in our packaging or production department who has the passion to exceed expectations and grow within the company. Reporting to the Production Manager your role will be to ensure Food Safety, Employee Safety, Quality Assurance, and that deadlines are met. Our continued goal is to reduce waste, increase efficiency and promote/ enforce Health and Safety.

As you will be responsible for the department on your shift it is expected that you will take ownership of the process and people.

**Overview of duties**:

- Ensure that product meets production and quality standards
- Assign/ schedule work duties
- Ensure GMP and SOP are followed
- Monitor adherence to safety procedures
- Provide timely feedback and conduct performance reviews
- Work with manager to ensure that mandates are met
- Conduct employee discipline meetings
- Responsible for all required documentation
- Work with staff to raise performance levels

**Requirements**:

- Working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and the Supervisor duties under the OHSA.
- **MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS** (day, afternoon, night)
- Post-secondary education/ certification in related field
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and regularly lift 50lb to waist height
- 3-5 years of related Supervisory/ People management experience
- Food industry manufacturing experience would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety
- Superior organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
- Proven ability to work under pressure and time constraints
- Proactive trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset
- Proficient computer skills. SAP, Workday and ADP are assets
- Knowledge of food safety programs (HACCP, FSSC22000)
