**Complexity and Scope of the Position**

The role of the Learning Consultant, Delivery is to act as the point of contact and expert for learning related discussions impacting Client Groups. The Learning Consultant will create and deliver on Learning & Development solutions ensuring alignment with business strategy and in consideration of impact to our Residences. These solutions may take the form of eLearning lessons, facilitated sessions, guides, and on-the-job performance aids. Functionally the Learning Consultant will be responsible for the needs analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation for new and existing programs as well as continually improving existing programs.

**Key Activities**

The key activities for this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Consulting with clients, identifying scope, determining training needs, and creating learning strategies by:

- assessing current learning knowledge
- determining business and learning objects
- structuring learning content and activities for active learning to ensure content addresses objectives
- recommending alternatives to close performance gaps if learning solutions are not the answer to performance issues
- Supporting strategic objectives by designing, developing, and enhancing new and existing digital learning assets including:

- eLearning assets
- videos
- infographics, job aids, guides and other on-the-job resources
- Delivering a wide range of instructor-led learning solutions including:

- virtual instructor-led events (webinars)
- in-class workshops
- train-the-trainer sessions
- Implementing approaches for sustainment and reinforcement of training
- Preparing training evaluation tools to measure results and effectiveness of training and consolidating feedback to continuously improve programmes
- Actively contributing and collaborating with learning and Development team members on best practices, innovation, and creativity ideas

**Education**
- Post-secondary degree from a recognized institution in education or a related field.
- Adult education diploma, certificate or degree, or equivalent demonstrated experience

**Experience**
- Expert eLearning design skills
- Expert presentation and facilitation skills (classroom, webinars, one-on-one training)
- Experience designing instructor-led programs, eLearning courses, reference documents, and on-the-job performance materials
- Previous experience in video and audio creation is preferred
- Previous industry experience is preferred
- Previous experience in technology, sales, or finance training is preferred
- Previous Project Management experience is preferred

**Skills and Abilities**
- Exceptional eLearning design skills
- Experience using Articulate 360 Suite is desirable
- Exceptional presentation skills with ability to confidently facilitate, train-the-trainer and coach In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management to effectively consult, negotiate and influence solutions with individuals at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in an environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities
- Open minded and solution oriented with a proven track record for delivering results
- Provide exceptional service by being responsive, collaborative and aware of business partner challenges/needs

**Special Requirements**
- Fluently bilingual in spoken and written French and English is required
- The ability to communicate and adhere to Chartwell’s vision, mission, and values
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, Studio, Replay, Rise)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience facilitating through Webex/Adobe Connect/Live Meeting preferred
- The ability to participate in travel 10-25%
- A valid provincial driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- The satisfactory outcome of a professional reference check and a criminal record check
