**ABOUT OPTIONS ACADEMY**

Options Academy is an early childhood development program for children ages 2 -12. The program offers full day and half day academic and extra-curricular programming as well as before and after school care programming enriched with a variety of Options. Options Academy is committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to grow and excel. This new facility is equipped with a full gymnasium, a single purpose art room, a library, a gross motor room as well as dedicated classrooms for each age group.

**POSITION**:Childcare Level 1 / 2 / 3 (Preschool Educator)**

**SUMMARY**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

At Options Academy, you will:

- Develop and teach / facilitate an engaging program for young children ages 3-6
- Assist with delivering activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the program
- Ensure the children are eating healthy and nutritious snacks
- Ensure children are safe and supervised
- Effectively communicate with children
- Communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress and classroom activities
- Develop and maintain current, accurate and confidential student files
- Ensure the facility is maintained and cleaned in accordance with guidance from Alberta Health
- Establish routines and provide positive guidance
- Perform other related duties as required

**COMPENSATION**:Salary commensurate with experience and education.

**BENEFITS**
- 2 paid weeks of vacation / year
- An additional 3 business days of paid leave during the Christmas Holiday closure
- 6 paid personal days / year after 1 year of employment
- $100 / month Health Spending Account

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
