Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare a variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, and desserts
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and health department guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters
- Decorate cakes and pastries as needed
- Package and present baked goods for sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Manage baking ingredient inventory levels and procurement to maintain adequate supplies
- Provide guidance, training and supervise bakery personnel on baking techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Oversee purchasing for your department
- Monitor the condition of the baking equipment, arranging for maintenance and repairs when needed

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Profound understanding of baking methods, ingredients, and tools
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Proven leadership abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
