**Position Overview**

The Jr Consulting Arborist conducts site visits and completes reports, regarding tree health assessments and tree protection plans for tree preservation.

Responsibilities of the Jr Consulting Arborist:

- Communicate with existing and potential clients on an on-going basis
- Prepare estimates pertaining to arborist reports
- Complete large and small scale tree health assessments and inventories
- Complete arborist reports pertaining to:

- Tree maintenance plans
- Tree removal and injury permits
- Tree preservation plans in relation to construction and development
- Ravine Stewardship Plans (RSP)
- Root explorations
- Sample collection for laboratory diagnosis and soil nutrient profiling

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Driven and self-directed when completing tasks
- “G” driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Good understanding of trees and shrubs - their biology, habits, and identification
- Good understanding of tree pests and diseases an asset
- Proficiency in computer skills, including:

- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- PDF Editing software
- CAD software

**Pay / Benefits**
- Rate of pay will vary with experience and skills
- Training opportunities and CEU courses are eligible for reimbursement

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
