**Job description**

We are WD SWIM School and we are currently hiring a experienced swim team instructor with working availability throughout the week and on weekends for our North York location.

**The Position**:
**Job Title**:Swim Couch

**Reports to**:General Manager

**Status**:Part-time/Full-time, hourly

**Location**:North York (around Fairview mall, Donmills, and Yorkmills)

**Your Typical Responsibilities**:
l Teach a swim team in a fun and gentle environment by following the swim school's current teaching methods, policies, and safety and emergency proceduresas.

l Work flexible hours, which may include holidays and weekends depending on business needs and management requirements.

l Responsible for covering shifts when needed.

l Report directly to and communicate with the General Manager.

l Be properly dressed in school uniform and ready at the poolside at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the class.

l Participate in ongoing staff training/coaching as requested by manager.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**

l 3-5 years teaching swimming programs

l 3+ years experience leading and supervising a swim team of instructors

l Experience teaching swimming lessons to individuals of all ages and skill levels

l Ability to work independently and as part of a team

l Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

l Current NLS is a must

l Swimming Supervisor certification is considered an asset

l Standard First Aid & CPR C Certification is required

l Flexibility to work days, afternoons, evenings and weekends (Monday to Friday evenings, Full day on weekends)
