Production Chemist

We are a small semiochemical manufacturer and research company in Delta, BC. We provide specialized entomological products to our world-wide customer base to help protect trees naturally. Our work environment is team based, interactive and fun.

We are seeking a F/T permanent Production Chemist to join our team. Duties may include:
Synthesis, purification and formulation of semiochemicals
Operation and maintenance of Agilent 7890 GC, Agilent 6890 GC/MS
Assembly and assay of chemical-based products
Formulation of chemical blends
Laboratory and Warehouse organization

**Qualifications**:
B Sc. or M Sc. in chemistry or organic chemistry.

Experience with practical synthetic organic chemistry on a kilogram scale. Experience in asymmetric synthesis would be a bonus.

Experience with modern analytical methods, especially GC/MS

Experience in preforming vacuum distillation.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Accurate keyboard skills
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Excellent English, oral and written
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Able to work independently, quickly and accurately

Must be able to lift moderate weights (50 lbs)

Good mechanical and technological skills
Knowledge of chemical ecology

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
