Sun-off Sunday 9-6

Mon-off Monday 11:30-8:30

Tuesday 11:30-8:30 Tuesday off

Wednesday 11:30-8:30 Wednesday off

Thursday off Thursday 11:30-8:30

Friday 9-5 Friday 12:30-8:30

Saturday 8-6 Saturday off

**Position Summary**

The Receptionist/CSR contributes to Henry Walser Funeral Home’s mission to be a team of caring and compassionate professionals who are committed to providing funeral services that help families and friends honour their departed loved ones in a manner that helps to facilitate the healing process by ensuring the families are welcomed with the best possible care, attention, and friendly attitude while offering assistance to those who visit the funeral home.

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Attend to visitors coming into the funeral home, provide answers to any questions and direct them to appropriate person when required
- Coordinate appointments and office allocation for all team members
- Follow all donation procedures in place; receive donations and balance at the end of each shift
- Process account payments from clients/families
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to all team members
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Ensure high levels of professionalism, caring and compassionate demeanor, and appearance are demonstrated in all interactions internal and external to the company
- Ensure high levels of quality, accuracy, and efficiency in department practices and processes
- Ability to communicate fluently in English is essential

**Qualifications, Skills, Attributes**

Experience, Education, and Technical Skills
- 3+ years of Customer Service experience
- Diploma or Degree from a recognized college or university in a related field is an asset
- Knowledge of standards and procedures in Funeral Service would be an asset, although no specialized knowledge or experience is required to enter the position
- Ability to assess situations appropriately and offer appropriate feedback and solutions to families and external contacts
- High level of administrative preparation and coordination is required
- Working knowledge of accounting software would be an asset
- Strong mathematic skills are required to properly receive, and document donations received and to accurately document, post and reconcile donations and basic technical skills are required to work with standard office environment
- Ability to interact with grieving families
