As an Actuarial Analyst you will contribute to achieving financial and risk management goals by providing actuarial support to a functional area. You will be offered a huge opportunity to learn and grow in different roles at Empire Life while reporting to the Manager or Director of the actuarial team in a hybrid working arrangement in the Kingston area.

**What you’ll be working on**:
- Perform mathematical calculations and data reconciliations- Streamline current processes and create/update supporting documentation- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of actuarial programs- Research actuarial issues, methods and solutions to support business strategy development

**What you’ll need to have**:
- Advanced mathematical, data management, and programming skills- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and word processing software- Well-developed organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities- Effective written and verbal communication skills- Attention to detail/accuracy- Proven research, analysis and decision-making skills- Ability to develop innovative solutions- Completion of a university degree with courses in mathematics, economics and/or business- Completion of a minimum of one exam through the Society of Actuaries or Canadian Institute of Actuaries- Commitment to attain Associate designation through the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries

**It would be nice for you to have**:- Experience in an actuarial environment is an asset- Industry knowledge: insurance, investments, segregated funds, group products
