_**Junior Financial Advisor**_

Halton Financial Group (HFG) is in the City of Burlington. We are a full-service financial planning firm, offering a variety of investment products, life and disability insurance, income tax preparation, retirement, and estate planning.

HFG has worked hard to develop long term relationships with our clients, spanning generations of families. This is an ideal position for a smart, motivated individual with the desire to grow their own business who is passionate about delivering excellent service to their clients and could benefit from working in a team environment.

This opportunity would aid someone starting out in the industry looking to increase their knowledge, skillset, confidence, and book of business. We have 2 senior advisors with years of experience to mentor and strategize with you for your professional growth. HFG also has a team of skilled administration staff that have over 50 years of experience combined to provide support with all of your needs from insurance and investment strategies to estate and income tax planning, preparation, and filing.

This is not a remote position.

**Job responsibilities include**:
**Client appointment preparation and planning. Reviewing existing files, discussing changes with the senior team, determining investment needs, and making recommendations that match KYC and suitability for each client situation. Review assessments for RRSP, RDSP, RESP, TFSA contribution limits, ensuring the maximization without incurring penalties or reductions in benefits, filing of personal income tax returns when necessary.**

**Communicating in a professional manner with clients and companies to handle all questions, reviews, or processing requirements.**

**Placing trades, entering account changes and preparing paperwork as necessary**

**Desired Skills/Qualifications**:
**Minimum of 5 years experience in the financial industry or 2 years experience as an independent advisor.**

**Successful completion of the CSC, CPH & WME is required**

**Familiarity with NDEX and National Bank systems is an asset**

**Basic Income Tax knowledge**

**LLQP or basic Life and health insurance an asset**

**Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required**

**Excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently without supervision.**
