**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the program Manager, the Unit Clerk provides clerical, receptionist and communication functions for designated unit(s)/program(s), in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare. The Unit Clerk complies with Occupational Health and Safety Standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

**Qualifications**:
Keyboarding skills - preferred

Excellent interpersonal communication skills - required;
Graduate of an approved clerical health care program - preferred;
Previous clerical experience - preferred;
Ability to communicate in French - preferred;
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position

**Education and/or Certification**:
Grade 12 education or equivalent - required
Medical Terminology - required (will be tested)
