**JOB PURPOSE**:The Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team and is responsible for preparing and analyzing weekly and period financial reports and statements as well as regularly reconciling a number of Balance Sheet accounts. This role is also responsible for a wide variety of other tasks including the weekly bank account reconciliations, managing the foreign exchange activities of the company, involvement in the annual planning and year end processes as well as assisting the team in the completion of their tasks as required.

**KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Manage various accounting functions including:

- Complete the weekly financial reporting package
- Prepare and submit the daily bank deposit via the RBC portal
- Publish various weekly reports, including: Weekly Cash Flow, Credit Note Report, Top 10 Sales
- Complete the bank account reconciliation and cash journal entries on a weekly basis
- Assist with period end preparation, analysis, journal entries, finalizing draft financial statements and commentary working papers
- Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations on a period basis, monitor accruals and recommend changes as required
- Manage the foreign exchange process to ensure that the correct hedges are in place when needed
- Prepare and process the daily producer payment and weekly transporter payments. This includes any adjustments and reversals as required
- Send data uploads, weekly, to Ontario Pork as required by legislation
- Involved in the annual business plan and budgeting process as required
- Review company spending to highlight potential savings opportunities for follow up
- Prepare and submit various Statistics Canada reports as required on a period and annual basis
- Support co-workers and provide backup during vacations, high workloads, etc
- Keep Controller informed on all aspects of areas of responsibility
- Other duties/reporting as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Enrollment in the CPA program
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced skills with ERP, Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
