Are you looking to drive your career forward?

AutoCanada is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team, you’ll be supporting our 28 collision centres from Nova Scotia to British Columbia

You’ll help provide hands-on support in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. Using your strong human resources & communication capabilities, you’ll assist with HR-related needs and build HR projects that contribute to strategic goals. You will also learn about provincial legislation & regulations across Canada.

**Your Day to Day**:

- Manage and administer the onboarding/offboarding of personnel
- Partner with Managers in providing guidance & coaching on multiple HR-related challenges, including performance management, conduct, disciplinary action, grievance, absence, feedback, & associated Employee relations issues
- Ensure adherence to relevant federal/provincial employment laws and standards across all provinces
- Help maintain positive relationships with related unions & assist with providing council on labour relations related matters / negotiating collective agreements
- Coordinate and support planning of learning & development initiatives
- Manage and provide recommendations on complex disability management cases
- Utilize research and data to identify trends & diagnose organizational effectiveness issues
- Assist with ad-hoc People & Culture development projects
- Participate in strategic planning and delivery of HR-related strategic objectives
- Help ensure appropriate/regular/frequent communication & engagement

**What You Bring to the Table**:

- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, another business discipline, or equivalent experience
- Bilingual, fluent in both French & English required
- Understanding of various provincial legislation is an asset
- Experience in a corporate and/or national retailer setting is an asset
- Track record for translating strategic thinking into actionable plans & output
- With 25 brands in 74 dealerships, in two countries, AutoCanada is a 2008, 2013, & 2021 CADA Laureate Winner, a 2021 TSX30 Winner, & holds 18 OEM Performance awards.
