**Position Summary**:
The Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives Lead will assist in the development of strategy, scalability, and execution of supply chain software implementations with new clients, existing strategic partners, and within Martin Brower. This role will support the development of, and will execute on, key metrics and success criteria for this new growth initiative at Martin Brower Canada. Works with key stakeholders to understand current business processes and how the integration and implementation of new systems and software will enhance functionality of the supply chain.

This job requires an initial period of training and certification after which the expectation is that the individual acts as support in system implementations outside of Martin Brower Canada. It will be their job to support the evaluation and coordination of all changes or implementation activities of the project, including documentation, integration, and support activities.

**Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to**:

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of supply chain management process and strategy with a focus on KPI definition, monitoring and improvement.
- Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership teams.
- Able to quickly develop a strong grasp of team and company strategic direction, with the ability to use this understanding to provide the teams with insights and ideas for optimal system execution.
- Coach and aid in the development and socialization of best practice and training to ensure proper understanding of capabilities and initiatives of the systems and markets.
- Support business digitization strategies by working with a cross-functional team to maintain and improve supply chain systems with the effective implementation and use of the software, and business intelligence.
- Acts as a point person coordinating supply chain partners and senior leadership teams both within the organization and between key stakeholder organizations. Key areas of focus include defining success criteria and required information flow, the prioritization of activities and issues, coordinating resource allocation, and escalation as needed.
- Evaluate technologies and processes to improve business system functionality through system implementation.
- Ability to clearly communicate to stakeholders the status of implementation project and timelines including escalation as needed.
- Support system/project/process definitions and benefits realization tracking during and after project lifecycles and use results to communicate and publish relevant business information with a focus on where to extract value and how to communicate that value across different levels of the business.
- Facilitate workshops, lead discussions, and gather inputs from supply chain planners to ensure system functionality will be and is used proficiently.
- Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Certification in defined software implementation training modules.
- Supports the successful implementation of supply chain software for outside clients on time and to budget.
- Acts as a SME for industry best practices in supply chain and efficient system use both within Martin Brower and for external clients.
- Supports the development and execution of key metrics and success criteria for this new growth initiative

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in supply chain, business, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain & 1-3 years’ experience leading large scale projects
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and their functionality
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills with all levels of employees, management, and customer
- This role will rely heavily on process knowledge, industry best practice as well as influencing and relationship building skills to support initiatives that drive successful system implementation and best practice use.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills/initiatives
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives
- Able to work with all levels of management including senior leadership team within Canada and globally
- Exposure to distribution, transportation, supply chain, and inventory planning
- This position must pass a post-offer background check
