Supportive Roommate

kcs is seeking an individual or couple to be a supportive roommate to live in your home (In Sylvan Lake or surrounding areas) who will provide the necessary supports and growth for our individual with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop a relationship with the individual
- Support the individual in daily routines such as meals, cooking and baking, shopping, cleaning and tidying their own space, laundry, personal hygiene
- Provide support to maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Assist/attend medical appointments, medication administration, liaise with pharmacy and encourage exercise into daily routines
- Expand individuals knowledge and awareness of personal safety while living independent in the home
- guide and assist individual in managing their personal affairs such as banking and budgeting

There is a base rate depending on client of $1950-$2500 per month plus an additional $800-$900 per month for room and board.

The supports are intended to assist the individual in learning skills to allow them as much independence to grow and to be able to live independently on their own in the future.

Required: - 18 years or older - Criminal record check and Child Intervention check - First Aid and CPR certification - Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance.
