**Position**

Position Title**:Manual Machinist - Milling**

**Job Summary**

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible to produce high quality machined parts, using a manual Bridgeport style milling machine, within specifications and in accordance with Metform quality standards and operating practices. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating equipment in a safe and productive manner by being organized and self-motivated with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize your workload to meet production demands.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive drawings and material from storage area.
- Read blueprints to determine the sequence and method of machining.
- Obtain correct tooling and set-up machine for production.
- Machine parts according to drawing, check quality and quantity of parts.
- Maintain machinery, tooling, etc. inform Plant manager of repairs required.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

**Qualifications**
- Certificate of Qualifications as General machinist or equivalent.
- 3- 5 years minimum experience of working in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
- 3-5 Years minimum experience with setting up and operating a Manual Milling machine.
- Manual Lathe, Surface Grinder and / or Cylindrical Grinder experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of different measuring instruments and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or schematics.
- Previous experience with overhead crane and forklift is an asset.
- Must live in the GTA and can reliably commute everyday to work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
