**Financial Systems Analyst**

**Location**: St. John's

The Financial Systems Analyst is a key member of the Financial Systems team that supports the financial systems, processes and controls. The Analyst will provide support that ensures system functionality and integrity, enables continuous improvement, and system upgrades, which will include testing, training and documentation activities. The Analyst is responsible for assisting in the resolution of system issues that affect the Finance function by performing root cause analysis, and working with the affected user groups and technical teams, to have solutions identified, validated and implemented. The Analyst will support the identification and implementation of process and control changes and new system functionality, including new systems, to support process improvement initiatives and the changing needs of the business. The Analyst will work with the business, as required; on cross-functional system requirements to ensure the requirements of the finance systems are understood and maintained.

**Qualifications**:

- A University degree, or equivalent College Diploma in IT or Business
- Five years experience in financial system support
- Five years experience in financial analysis and / or accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience will be considered an asset;
- Experience with ERP software (Financials), preferably JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and reporting software;
- Requires an individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, while dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information;
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills ;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff;
- Solid understanding of Corporate and Financial Systems and processes;
- Results oriented and performance focused;
