**WHO WE ARE**:
An independently owned café with a relaxed setting and a beautiful view of the Grand River. Located in the University of Waterloo, School of Architecture in historic downtown Galt, Cambridge.

Melville is well established in the community, opening its doors in 2004. It has a loyal clientele ranging from the Architecture students and faculty, seniors, families as well as business clientele in addition to its many valued regulars.

The café serves barista made lattes, cappuccinos, fair trade coffee, thin crust personal pizza, fresh house made sandwiches soups and desserts. Focusing on quality, value and the overall guest experience.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
A passionate team player who loves cooking and enjoys an upbeat café environment. Someone that thrives working in a team but also has the ability to work independently. Working in both an open concept kitchen as well as prep kitchen. The menu includes thin crust pizzas, sandwiches, soups, salads, dessert, baked goods as well as daily features.

Duties include the preparation and cooking of all menu items from quality raw ingredients as well as ordering, daily cleaning, sanitation and dishwashing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, cutting, and measuring ingredients
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is stored properly and meets safety and sanitation guidelines
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, dishes and equipment
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Follow all food safety procedures and regulations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

**Salary**: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
