Junior Fire

Looking to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment? As the Junior Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Fire & Life Safety Manager in professionally managing all building floor and fire safety plans in the Skyline portfolio to ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code, the Quebec Safety Code, the Alberta Fire Code, the British Columbia Fire Code and the National Fire Code including adoption edits by other provinces as well as other applicable regulations. This position also investigates code issues, performs inspections, develops, delivers and coordinates related training and ensures compliance involving fire safety equipment systems.

**What we are looking for**
- Extensive knowledge of provincial and national fire and building code regulations
- Ability to investigate, follow-up, action and document life safety code compliance issues
- Complete routinely fire inspections and maintain accurate records
- Visit assigned properties in order to sketch and create accurate building floor plans as well as evaluate current conditions of fire and life safety equipment
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and emergency power (generators)
- Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills while remaining detail orientated
- Liaison with internal and external clients to identify and assist with their needs
- Ensure integrity is maintained while working independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a three (3) year college diploma in Architecture, Construction, Fire Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Auto CAD or equivalent software is considered an asset
