**Responsibilities**:

- Planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget;
- Handling project administration, including cost control, schedule control, and change order administration,
- Preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates,
- Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules,
- Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors,
- Developing and implementing quality control programs,
- Preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules to clients, and
- Hiring and supervising the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing construction projects,
- Demonstrated track record of success in project planning, project forecasting, and project tracking,
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications,
- A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems for conceptualization and innovation of novel systems,
- Demonstrated ability to track progress and performance to stay on schedule and uncover bottlenecks and other issues that are preventing the timely delivery of projects,
- Demonstrated ability to work on and lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production,
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills, and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software.

**Additional Assets and Qualifications**
- Experience in AutoCAD is an asset;
- Knowledge of relevant land development guidelines in and around Atlantic Canada;
- Knowledge of off-grid renewable energy and/or bulk dry product handling and metering;
- Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts, and
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS.

**Location**

Halifax and field sites in Nova Scotia

**Employment Type**

Position type: Full time (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday, overtime for some field days )

**Salary Range**

$100,000 - $125,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience. Stock options package.
