**BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY**

Postmedia Parcel Services is looking for an **independent contractor to perform delivery services** in the Amherst, NS Region. Independent contractors must have a valid driver’s license. With this opportunity the faster you work, the more earnings, the potential is up to you

The independent contractor will have a solid customer service track record in the delivery/distribution field and will provide an infrastructure that supports the delivery of Postmedia parcels and other associated products. Previous delivery driver experience is preferred.

The independent contractor will be required to provide their own WCB/WSIB coverage.

This contract begins is for 7 day a week deliveries. and delivery routes will be approximately 4 - 8 hours per day, depending on volume of parcels to be delivered. Pick up time is no later than 9:00 AM. The independent contractor will be responsible for delivering parcels to residential and commercial customers.

**Core responsibilities for the independent contractor delivery driver include**:

- Sorting & scanning your assigned packages for the day
- Carefully loading the parcels into your personal vehicle for delivery (Van/SUV is optimal for success)
- Delivering the parcels to the customer’s doorstep
- Taking photos of the delivered parcels through our parcel app

**The independent contract delivery driver must**:

- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have their own WCB/WSIB coverage
- Have a valid G class driver's license or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Have a valid auto insurance with minimum coverage limits of $1,000,000 CAD
- Vehicle in good working order
- Have a mobile device so we can set you up on our delivery app.
- Be available to work 5-7 days a week (and available on call, as needed, to cover emergency parcel delivery

Schedule:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
